The post-pandemic workplace has fundamentally changed the way organisations operate. As hybrid and agile working models become the norm, companies are increasingly seeking more efficient workplaces that support flexibility, collaboration and employee wellbeing, often within a smaller physical footprint.

For Roche Diagnostics (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., this shift presented an opportunity to rethink how its workplace could better support a growing workforce while occupying a more compact and efficient office environment.

ISD was engaged to design a new workplace that aligns with Roche Diagnostics’ global brand values while embracing the principles of agile working and human-centric design.

The workplace was carefully planned to maximise functionality and flexibility, creating a variety of settings that support focused work, collaboration, social interaction and employee wellbeing. Rather than simply reducing space, the project focuses on enhancing the quality of the workplace experience.

Contemporary materials, welcoming social environments and thoughtfully designed work settings were integrated throughout the office to create a workplace that feels open, engaging and adaptable to evolving work styles.

The result is a future-ready office that demonstrates how a smaller footprint can deliver a richer employee experience, balancing operational efficiency with comfort, culture and human connection.
