When OBYU Holdings Sdn. Bhd. acquired its own corporate tower in Petaling Jaya, ISD was commissioned to design the executive headquarters occupying the penthouse floor of the building.
The architecture of Menara OBYU embraces a Modern Tropical and Contemporary Brutalist design language, while the interiors take on a more refined contemporary corporate approach, creating a deliberate contrast between the bold architectural shell and the sophistication of the executive workplace environment within.
Designed for the leadership team of an organisation rooted in the oil and gas industry, the interiors subtly incorporate abstract references to the sector through carefully curated design gestures.
A standout feature within the office is the sculptural reception backdrop and corridor divider, where the flowing movement of oil is interpreted into an abstract artistic motif, creating a visually striking statement that reinforces the identity and core business of the company.
Throughout the workplace, premium finishes, layered materials and carefully proportioned spaces were selected to project professionalism, executive presence and corporate refinement appropriate for the headquarters of a leading industry player.
The result is a workplace environment that balances identity, sophistication and functionality, reflecting both the ambitions of the organisation and the evolving expectations of contemporary executive offices.
