Occupying an entire floor of Sunway Pinnacle, this award-winning workplace transformation demonstrates how thoughtful design can become a catalyst for organisational change.

Rather than simply renovating an office, Roche embarked on a comprehensive workplace transformation programme aimed at reshaping how its people work, collaborate and engage with one another. The project challenged long-established workplace habits and introduced a new agile working culture supported by an extensive change management initiative.

Moving away from conventional assigned seating, the workplace was reimagined as a dynamic ecosystem where employees are empowered to choose how and where they work based on the task at hand. This flexibility encourages greater collaboration, mobility, autonomy and employee engagement.

The environment comprises a rich variety of work settings including focus pods, quiet zones, collaboration lounges, huddle spaces, café-style work areas, flexible workstations, formal meeting rooms and informal social environments. Every space was intentionally designed to support different work modes while enhancing the overall employee experience.

Natural daylight and expansive views permeate the workplace, creating an uplifting and energising atmosphere. Complementing this are wellness-focused amenities including nursing rooms, medical bays, recreation areas, townhall spaces, collaboration hubs and social gathering zones that support both productivity and wellbeing.

The result is a highly adaptable workplace that places people at the centre of the experience, fostering creativity, innovation, collaboration and a stronger sense of community.
