MSID Award-Winning Contemporary Resort Living in the City.
Owner: Private
Location: Section U9, Shah Alam
Area: 2,600 sq. ft.
Project Type: Private Residence
Nestled within the greenery of Section U9, Shah Alam, this clustered semi-detached residence was reimagined as a calm, resort-inspired home for a small family seeking comfort, light and spatial clarity.
Recognised as an MSID Award-winning project, the design focuses on elevating everyday residential living through thoughtful spatial planning and a strong connection to nature.
With minimal intervention to the exterior, the design emphasis was placed entirely on the interior experience, maximising natural light, cross ventilation and visual openness to create a seamless relationship between indoor living and the surrounding landscape.
The interior language is contemporary yet restrained, balancing clean architectural lines with warm, relaxed spatial moments that evoke a resort-like sense of ease within a residential setting.
Every space was carefully composed to enhance daily living, from bright communal areas filled with daylight to quieter private zones designed for rest and retreat.
The result is a refined residential environment that reflects both comfort and simplicity, where contemporary living meets a subtle sense of escape within the city.
